Knowledge Power™ is an operation support software package that systemizes and standardizes operations that are manually performed by operators but have standard operating procedures, such as irregular operations such as plant startup, shutdown, and brand switching, and response measures to restore operations to normal when a problem occurs.
The system can also automate the monitoring perspective and methods of experienced operators, such as automating valve position setting and pump start/stop operations, or early detection of abnormal signs, monitoring of equipment, and checking if operating condition is optimal.
Features
No programming knowledge is required to systemize the procedures of irregular operation or to create applications to automate the operation and monitoring. Applications can be created by arranging icons on a chart in a sequence of operational steps, much like creating a flowchart. The combination of approximately 40 icons can be used to guide or automate the process symptom identification and response actions. Since no programming is required, the application can be written by operators who are familiar with the principles of the process and equipment.
