
SORTiA-MPC is a multivariable model predictive control package that lies at the core of SORTiA.
Components
SORTiA-MPC consists of an offline design tool, an online module, and a standard operating screen.

Offline Design Tools
Model identification tool
This tool is used to build a model for use with the controller by modeling based on step test data.

Simulation tool
This tool is used to simulate the model and virtual plant used in the online module.
This is mainly used to determine the initial tuning value and to analyze the controller behavior.

Configuration tool
This tool is designed to increase engineering efficiency by generating configuration files for automatic generation of tags for online modules.
Online module
Control and optimization engine
This engine performs optimization control calculations.
I/O check module
It has the function to check the input validity such as upper and lower limit error, change rate error, freeze error, etc. of CV, the function to do the filtering processing, and the function to check the output of MV.
Standard operation screen
A slider is available for adjusting the control strength. This provides a good perspective and can be used as a guide to performance.
Process data and tuning information for a specified time in the past can be reproduced on the screen. This function can be effectively used in behavior analysis.
