Unlike piezoelectric vortex flowmeters, ultrasonic vortex flowmeters detect vortices by two ultrasonic beams and low flow rate can be measured.

  • Detects vortices with ultrasonic waves and can measure low flow rate
  • Rangeability is 80:1
  • Two pairs of ultrasonic sensors installed on the exterior of the detector can be replaced when they fail without removing the flowmeter from the piping.
  • Because two beams are used, if one pair fails, flow measurement can be continued with the other pair.
