Unlike piezoelectric vortex flowmeters, ultrasonic vortex flowmeters detect vortices by two ultrasonic beams and low flow rate can be measured.

  • Detects vortices with ultrasonic waves and can measure low flow rate
  • Rangeability is 80:1
  • Two pairs of ultrasonic sensors installed on the exterior of the detector can be replaced when they fail without removing the flowmeter from the piping.
  • Because two pairs of ultrasonic sensors are used, if one pair fails, flow measurement can be continued with the other pair.

Ultrasonic Vortex Flowmeter Model VRX10A uses two pairs of ultrasonic sensors to detect vortices and measure liquid flow rates with high sensitivity, including in low flow rate ranges. The externally mounted sensors can be replaced without removing the flowmeter from the piping, helping reduce maintenance work and process downtime. If one sensor pair fails, the other pair can continue flow measurement, supporting reliable operation and efficient flow management.
